Description

It is not recommended to put the XDD agent component on laptop computers.

Problem

Since XDD listens to the network, and laptops are meant to be mobile, LANDesk recommends not putting the XDD Agent on a mobile device. If this is done, the LANDesk core will get information from outside of the customer LAN (ie, coffee shops, hotels, malls, homes etc.).

Since this mistake is common, XDD comes preconfigured with IP range filters.  See the help file for more information.
