Hi,
I'm in the middle of migrating from a 8.8 sp4 server to a 9.0 sp2 server.
About 90 % of the time, when we install an agent on a client machine, the client cannot be connected to in any way, untill the client is rebooted. I can ping about 20% of the clients, but cannot connect to it in any form (RDP, Windows File Shares, psexec ...) . And the client is able to connect to everything. Incoming connections are not working. It seems as if the agent install is activating a firewall.
The Windows Firewall service is disabled in GPO and locally on the client images and I confirmed that it is not running. Although i have seen that the agent install starts the Windows Firewall service a couple of times during agent deployment, even though the service is disabled and the "Windows Firewall" part in the agent configuration is also disabled.
I tried every possible way to install the agent except advance agent: scheduled agent deployment, self-contained agent install, wscfg32. The behaviour does happen on both servers, 8.8 and 9.0.
Does anyone have any idea what the agent install is doing? And is there a way to prevent that from happening?
Thank you
